All families are welcome to attend. They can contact their local project directly or they can ask their Public Health Nurse / GP or other services to make a referral.
Different organisations across the country deliver the Programme. It can be provided by:
Community and Voluntary organisations OR
Health Service Executive through Public Health Nursing Service.
In both cases, home visitors are selectively recruited from the local community. They undergo intensive practice, skill and knowledge-based training over a period of three months. Following this, all home visitors must continue to progress their professional development.
They are supported by a specially trained coordinator and a team of fellow home visitors.
